Diving
Explore pristine marine floors with the best visibility in the Pacific. Volcanic rock reefs, sea lions and endemic fish just metres from shore.
The waters of Robinson Crusoe Island offer one of the most extraordinary diving experiences on the planet. With visibility that can exceed 93 metres, the seabeds of the Juan Fernández Archipelago reveal a marine ecosystem virtually untouched by intensive fishing or mass tourism.
An unmatched ecosystem
The volcanic rock reefs surrounding the island are home to more than 140 species of fish, a significant percentage of which are endemic — found nowhere else on Earth. The viejo, the Juan Fernández lobster, swordfish and yellowfin tuna share the space with colonies of Juan Fernández fur seals (Arctophoca philippii), which approach divers with surprising curiosity. Swimming alongside them is one of the most sought-after experiences in the archipelago.
Unique Pacific conditions
The Humboldt Current, sweeping up from Antarctica, maintains water temperatures between 16°C and 22°C depending on the season, generating exceptional biological productivity. The absence of volcanic sediment in suspension — combined with the island's remoteness from the continent — produces that extreme visibility that turns every dive into an almost otherworldly experience: the deep blue wall of water seems to have no end.
Diving options
We offer dives for all levels, from surface snorkelling to technical diving beyond 40 metres. Highlights include Cumberland Bay, ideal for beginners thanks to its calm conditions and abundant wildlife; El Palillo, a submerged promontory where currents concentrate pelagic life; and La Catedral, a volcanic rock formation rising vertically from 35 metres to near the surface, blanketed in sponges and black corals.
Equipment and logistics
We provide complete, up-to-date equipment — BCDs, regulators, wetsuits and dive computers — available to rent or included in all-inclusive packages. Our guides are PADI-certified divers with years of specific experience in Juan Fernández waters, ensuring safe and deeply rewarding dives.
Every dive begins with a detailed briefing covering the site, expected wildlife and the conservation guidelines that allow this ecosystem to remain pristine for future generations.

What makes us different
The most extraordinary visibility in the Pacific
93 metres under certain conditions. Not marketing — it is the direct result of the Humboldt Current, the distance from the continent and the total absence of suspended sediment.
Wildlife that exists nowhere else
Juan Fernández fur seal colonies interact with divers without fear. It only happens here, because here we have never given them reason to be afraid.
Guides with intimate knowledge of the seabed
Years of dives in these specific waters. Each guide knows the seasonal behaviour of every site, the currents and where wildlife concentrates.
A genuinely protected ecosystem
UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, National Park and marine protected area. The only way to dive here is under the rules that ensure it stays this way.
