How do you get to Robinson Crusoe Island?
The island is accessed exclusively by plane from Santiago Airport (SCEL). Flights operated by LASSA, 3–4 times per week. The flight takes approximately 3 hours and lands at Tambo airstrip. We coordinate your transfer from the airstrip to the lodge.
What is the best season to visit?
The island can be visited year-round thanks to its temperate climate (14–22°C). The best season for diving is November to April, when underwater visibility is at its peak. For hiking, May to August offers greener and cooler landscapes.
What is included in the accommodation packages?
The cabin price includes lodging, breakfast and dinner prepared with local produce, airstrip–lodge transfers and permanent assistance from the La Robinson Oceanic team. Diving, fishing and excursion experiences carry an additional cost.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance during high season (November–March). For groups or customised premium experiences, we suggest at least 3 months ahead to ensure availability.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations more than 30 days in advance receive a full refund. Between 15 and 30 days, a 50% refund. Less than 15 days, no refund, though in cases of force majeure we evaluate rescheduling options at no extra cost.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept international bank transfer, Visa and Mastercard credit cards (3% surcharge) and PayPal. Accommodation payment is made upon booking confirmation. Experiences are paid directly on the island.
Do I need prior experience to go diving?
We offer dives for all levels. We have PADI-certified instructors for beginners and dive guides for certified divers. The exceptional visibility conditions make Robinson Crusoe a unique experience for divers of any level.
Is there internet connectivity on the island?
The island has limited-bandwidth satellite internet. The signal is functional for basic communications but does not allow high-quality streaming. Many guests particularly value this partial disconnection as part of the experience.
